I just powered my new system on for the first time and I have an issue... hopefully just a silly mis-connected cable. Arg!

It powers up, all the fans spin up for about two seconds, then it powers off, then it powers itself up again, then off... over and over. No post beep.

I'm guessing it's some kind of fail safe defense?

Any thoughts?

System:

Fractal Define R4 case
Asus Sabertooth Z77
3770K
Corsair H80i cooler
AX750 PSU
16GB Vengeance
240GB Samsung 840 Pro (OS)

Sounds oddly family to what I went through with my first build, except that my PC actually posted for a while. Try removing all but 1 stick of RAM and try again. If it does it again, use the other. Again, if you have 4 sticks, use the 3, then 4 if it still does not post at all.

If after trying all of the memory sticks and you still can't get a POST, I honestly don't know what the problem could be.

Not a first time builder... just a tired and sloppy one! :) ... and overly eager to get my rig fired up :)

I've probably built five or six systems over the past 15 years.

Haha. Just built my first system a week ago. Everything went 100% right except for a DOA memory stick. I din't backup to be honest, i just make system repair points if i somehow screw myself over downloading crap.
