Just a very simple overclocking story (I guess): bougth a 1500+ (@1333 Mhz). Had a MSI K7T Turbo, 256 Mb Kingston Value RAM, Stealth 3 16 Mb (I am no gamer at all), realtek 10/100 Mbit network card, WD 20 GB HDD and a SB 128 PCI.
Used the MSI new BIOS for the 6330 mainboard. Then clocked it via the FSB to 152 MHz and succes. Temp remains very low (48 C)while it would reach 62-63 with my 1,4 GHz Athlon-C.
Also note that I stopped the fan on the heatsink. The temperature rises very slowly (1 K per every 20-30 seconds).
Not so with the Athlon C, which sky rockets when the fan stops!
Too bad the AthlonXP is locked. Bad that MSI new BIOS does not indicate the GHZ of the chip, it now says: AthlonXP 1800+. Windows ME says the same, BTW.
BEst regards,
Jorge
