I'm currently running on a total of 16GB memory with 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws and another 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws X both of which are spec'd DDR3 1333 at 9-9-9-24 timings. I was wondering if I can safely change the frequency from 1333 to 1600 MHz because when I click the drop down menu for DRAM Frequency in my bios on the AI Tweaker tab, i can choose between 800 to more than 3000 MHz. I got concerned with the frequency when I saw a benchmark video which showed that there was a 3-5 fps improvement in some triple A titles such as Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Thanks in advance!
My other specs are in my signature in case that it matter

I'd be curious as to who did the benchmark video, and it's provenance. Generally, there's not much to be gained from over-clocking RAM, and you run the risk of making the system unstable, not to mention hurting the RAM.

And really, for 3-5fps...?
