Question AIO fan rough spinning/noisy and even stops at times ?

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with one of the fans on my Galahad 360 AIO cooler.
Recently, I’ve noticed that one of the fans has become very noisy and, at times, does not spin at all.

When I try to manually spin the fan, it feels very rough—almost as if it's struggling.
The feeling reminds me of how old fans would feel when they needed oil to spin smoothly.

I turned off my PC to inspect the fan, and as I tried to spin it by hand, it felt very stiff, almost like the bearings are dry. The fan doesn’t spin freely at all. I’ve tried restarting the PC but the problem persists , where the fan will either make a noise or stop working completely until I give it a manual spin.

I have not changed any settings relating to the fans.

You do realize that your AIO has warranty, right?

RMA the entire AIO (or the fan on it) for replacement, since that clearly is manufacturing defect (bad fan bearing).
thank you for your answer
this is not a new build it's out of warranty

can i replace this fan or any other fan or the i have to get the 3 fans to be the same model ?

The three fans do NOT need to be exactly the same. From the photos and manual they appear to be "standard" in terms of mechanical size and fastening systems (how a fan is attached to the rad) and in the electrical cables and connectors. They are all 4-pin PWM type fans of the 120 mm size. So you only need to get reasonable matches for air flow and pressure specs. Noise and max speed specs are less important.

Specs for the fans you have already are:
Air Flow max 69 CFM
Pressure max 2.6 mm water
Speed 800 (min) to 1900 (max)
Noise max 32 dBA

They appear to be the Lian Li model ST120 that consumes at max 0.18 A current per fan motor. The lighting in their frames is ARGB type (3-pin 5 VDC) consuming max 0.54 A current. Any fan with similar electrical ratings will fit just fine.
