I just have a simple question which is if you can mount an AIO Liquid Cooler radiator side to the case and have fans on the inside rather than fans in between the case and the radiator.
The radiator is bolted to the chassis and the fans are usually screwed to the radiator itself. I use a 240mm Enermax Liqtech: 8 screws secure the radiator to the case and 4 screws secure each fan to the radiator.
The fans must always be inside the case, also if you mount the AIO on the top.
in what chassis are you going to mount it?
I was thinking of buying an HAF XB EVO. It comes with dual 120mm fans outside the case but protected by the front bezel. I was just hoping i could install the radiator in between. I.E. It will go like this from front to back: Front Bezel Mesh, Dual 120mm Fans, Case, Radiator, then Dual 120mm fans.
Thank You.
Edit: I Realized the a 240mm radiator wont work with dual 120mm fans in front so its going to have to be a 280mm radiator.
This is how you can mount it. The fans must be mounted between the front panel and the radiator. A 240 mm radiator will fit perfectly, beacause the chassis supports 2x 120 mm fans 😉

Thank you, but one last question. Is that radiator mounted on top of some fans or is it directly mounted to the case?
