Hi guys,

I'm building a new PC inside a Corsair Obsidian 750D and would like some advice on GPU radiator placement.

The CPU will be cooled by an EK-KIT P360 Custom Loop Liquid Cooling Kit (first custom loop attempt) and I intend to mount the PE 360 radiator in exhaust configuration at the top of the case and put the GPU radiator at the bottom of the case similar to as shown in the following picture but in exhaust configuration https://ibb.co/dMvP8a

However, I’ve read on EVGA forums that this isn’t good because because “the radiator needs to be above the graphics card so that any air in the loop sits in the top of the radiator rather than being sucked through the pump and the rest of the loop, causing higher temps and poor pump life.” Is this true?

If so, my next thought was to mount it as an exhaust at the top back of the case, but then I’m worried about a potential compatibility/ space conflict issues between the 2 radiators like the following would be if the GPU rad was any depper, https://ibb.co/iFB0EF , and even in a picture of a completed build using the exact GPU I intend to use the fan / rad placement is very tight as shown here https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/J4MZxr

So - Any advice on how to check compatibility? If not what are my options? Go for an air cooled GPU?

Thanks in advance!

I only use AIO's on my rig, and I always went with such at my h80i v2 I try to mount the rad to the back of the case with the tubes at the bottom of the rad, I can't tell you if it will be a problem or not like sucking in air. My h100I GTX I use I opted to mount the rad to the top of the case and of course the pump is below the rad.

I do have the original h100 thats like 7 years old, still works great, cooling a Phenom II 1100T and I have it mounted in the front of the case, and I do occasionally hear it gurgle when it powers on, Pump is above the rad. But its been like that for years and hasn't died yet.

But I would always keep or make sure the pump has water, meaning the inlet of the pump needs to be hooked up to the res or with an...
