AIO water cooler leaked a little

So I just got a new PC, with a Fractal design Kelvin S36 liquid cooler for the CPU.

It was difficult getting the system out of the box so it ended up being pulled out sideways, on a slight downwards angle, onto the bed (in a slightly rough manner).

I noticed after doing this there were a few drops of water on top of the graphics card backplate and the inside of the case window.

My question is - is this normal when the cooler gets turned upside down and/or is shaken a bit roughly? Or have I got a bad unit?

During normal computer operation it runs fine but since it is supposed to be closed loop, it worried me a little. It's the first time I've ever used a water cooler so would appreciate some advice

Solution
No water should be outside of the unit, I wouldn't even install it. Not sure if it was a factory defect or due to rough handling depending how hard you pulled on it. If you think it's worth risking a failure and leaking on your components, personally I wouldn't. Aio's should be completely sealed (unless they're one of a few specific models designed to be expanded like some of ekwb's units).

Maybe it was just condensation on the unit? Water drops are a definite red flag for any liquid cooling though in my opinion.

It does has a filling port because it is an expandable system. Note it was working perfectly for several days before this happened - I had to pack it back in the box to take in to the store I bought it from because they forgot something I paid for. It was only after bringing it back home and pulling it back out of the box that this happened.

I just don't want to be 'over-cautious' and go to a giant air cooler instead if the slight leakage was my fault (due to rough handling/orientation) and it will be fine under normal operation. I'll submit a ticket on Fractal Design support website to see what they say...

Keep a very close eye on it.
While I dont like the way that sounds, it could be ok. Either you damaged it, in which case it could leak again, or it was not cleaned/sealed properly in the factory, so it could be poor QC. If it dosent happen again it should still be fine.
I would consider it a matter of when it leaks again, not if.
