I am planning on building a computer for Christmas and I was wondering how high of an over clock would I be able to get with a Hyper 212 EVO?

If you haven't bought the 212 evo, the Cryorig h7 at a similar price point offers better performance and lower noise.

However, the 212 evo isn't awful.

You should reach around a 4.1-4.4 depending on your CPU, chips aren't identical.

Unfortunately I did buy the Hyper 212 Evo. I think I'll move to water cooling next (I was thinking about the H100i).

Have to be very careful with water cooling. Water cooling does nothing to cool the VRMs on the Mobo, which gets very hot and is vital to the overall success of your overclocking project.

A good air cooler can be just as effective as any water coolers such as the H100i. For example, the $79.99 Cryorig R1 Ultimate is on par with the $114.99 H110 as shown in graph.
