Air Cooling for 7700k with problems size

Hi all , i have a Matx board , the Gigabyte B150M DS3H , a GTX 1080 , 3 ram slots ( 1xGB and 2x4GB of Kingston DDR4 2133) , a Seasonic 520 and a Corsair 400c .

I want to buy a 7700k obviously to no ocing right now because my motherboard dont let me , so i am thinking on an 280MM aio at front ( because in TOP dont fit ) , or a good air cooler like Noctua DH-15 but i think that not fit too ... In a future i will buy a Z370 ATX board to ocing the 7700k so i want a nice cooling ... What can i do for the little size in my case and board ? Thanks

well, you have a pretty big case with 170mm of CPU cooler clearance. so any air cooler will fit.
you can pick a noctua NH-U14. the temps will be just a couple of degrees warmer compared to NH-D15, but at much more compact size.
it will be same or better cooling as 99% of 240mm AiOs at lower noise.

Really ? But i have 3 kits of ram , and bad cable managment .. How do i see in my case what size that i have disponibility ? I have to see the size of the cpu to the ram , the cpu to the top , and the cpu to the lower ? So we can see what air cooling will fit

here is the list of noctua coolers compatible with your MB http://noctua.at/en/mainboard/Gigabyte_GA-B150M-DS3H
NH-D15S is the largest that you can comfortably fit.
Coolers from Be Quiet, Cryorig and Scythe are also very good and do better job than AiO.

So the better can i go is D15S , and the others models which is good and one can fit ? Anyone better than D15s?

Better could mean a lot of things. for some people, RGB on a crappy cooler would be better
in terms of cooling performance and cooling to noise ratio, NH-D15s is probably the best air cooler.
but it's large. very large

Buying 7700K now is bad idea when the 8700K is around...are you sure about that?

Z370 motherboards are not compatible with i7 7700K forget about it.

Thats im afraid off... That noctua D15s dont fit in my case... So if i go for a 280mm can fit it in front for sure i think, or another air cooling like Deepcool Lucifer that is smaller but i dont think it that cooling good a oced 7700k

again , you CANT USE i7 7700k on Z370 ATX motherboard. will NOT WORK.

anyways , I would not buy Z270 and i7 7700k ... in your place . and the money you are spending on 280mm AIO cooler can be spent on Z370 motherboard now anyways ...

so why waste on expensive AIO cooler and ignore i7 8700K and Z370 ?

Get Z370 and i7 8700K now with Cheap cooler and sell your motherboard. later on upgrade the cooler when you have money.

NH-D15s is 160mm tall and compatible with your MB + 400c is 170mm CPU cooler clearance = will fit no problem

Well that is a good notice... So you in my place, what do u think is better? The noctua d15s, another air cooling or AIO 280?

No AiOs anless you are talking about something like Swwiftech H240 X2.
If it was me, i'd use a custom loop.
otherwise I'd go with one of the noctua or Be Quiet coolers.

Okey, the Noctua thats is very good is the Dark rock pro 3 but dont fit, is bigger than Noctua D15s and the D15S is one of the bigger that can fit... I dont know if There is another Be quiet is smaller and good

I have no direct experience with Be Quiet coolers, so you need to check if it fits.
it will not perform better than noctua, it might be just better looking one
