Air cooling for i5 8400 in Corsair 100r case

Hello fellow enthusiasts, I would like to know your opinion regarding air cooling an i5 8400 cpu in a Corsair 100r case which has only 150mm clearance. I'm looking at Cryorig's H7 cooler which has 147mm height as a possible cooling solution.

Now, would it be overkill to use that cooler because the i5 8400 is a locked cpu? Would the Cryorig m9i be a more sensible alternative or are there any other coolers out there worth checking out?

Thanks in advance.

Forget the top case fans (you don't need them) & just buy the h7 .

Its a better solution than the m9I even with less case cooling.

You should never fit a top front exhaust with any tower style cooler anyway imo

Actually pulls air away from the cooler fan & makes it work harder.
