Build Advice Air cooling vs water cooling for i7 9700k

Hi guys,

It's really hard to decide if for i7-9700k a mid level air cooler like Dark Rock Pro will keep the temps in check or I should rather get a water cooling system.

Any experience with a similar build?

Why the Dominators and Neo's? Don't need both, or want both,
I prefer the Crucial P1 to the Adata XPG,
Thats one of the two best motherboards below $300ish, the other being the Gigabyte Auros Elite.

Otherwise, looks good, well balanced.

Ahh, yes, I am still choosing which one to get. Most likely will stick to Dominators due to their rgb style haha.

About motherboard, thanks for the tip, I will investigate, but I heard Auros Elite was prone to overheating. Maybe just an isolated case, idk.

Edit: Sorry, overheating issue was with Auros Elite ITX version not the ATX version

In the x570's, it's the mid range MSI boards that are having VRM overheat issues, for some odd reason, since they did so well in the 300/400 series.

Thank you all for the input. I actually chose a completely new direction and decided on AMD build with a wraith prism stock cooler (if it runs too hot, then I will change to Noctua).

Looks like a pretty solid build.
Prism cooler should be good enough, unless you try high OC, then you may need something beefier.
But the prism is a solid cooler, way better than the Spire and the Stealth.
