Today Ireland suffered its worst air disaster when a small two seater Cessna
aircraft crashed in a cemetery near Dublin.

So far Irish search and rescue teams have recovered 856 bodies and expect
the count to rise as digging continues into the night.

Suppose this news report came from Britain? Is that like how Illinois
continually ranks on the cheese-heads in Wisconsin? Like how we
always poke fun at West Virginia?

Wow..........I have been told that after digging up those 856 dead
corpses, they surgically removed over 350 pounds of baked potatoes out
of the dead poeples buttholes?
Imagine all that

This is sad, sad news. I'm wondering why I'm not reading more about it
on the news services.

My condolences go out to the families of each and every one of the
victims. It must have been hell, all 856 of them crammed into a
two-seater Cessna. Probably the plane crashed when the pilot realized
he could not see out the window, or move his arms and legs to work the
controls.

These discount airlines that are springing up everywhere are an unsafe
menace and must be stopped. It's not enough that I can fly from Seattle
to LAX for $99. I don't expect to have to sit in one of Southwest's
tiny, uncomfortable seats with nothing but a bag of peanuts to eat, and
I'm sure those people didn't expect to see a Cessna two-seater at the
gate when the airline booked 856 people.

This is inexcusable. Who's responsible?

Either way it's in pretty piss poor taste. Especially if you happen to have
friends and relatives buried in cemetaries in and around Dublin !!!

Speaking of West Virginia, have any of you able to get HBO watched that
series "Deadwood"???? I turned it on because the only thing else
available on my Dish network 200 channels is "Master and Commander, the
far side" with Russell Crowe. This Deadwood seems to have love hate
relationship with the F word. Every 3d word it seems is F this or that.
Do people really watch this?????

What does West Virginia have to do with Deadwood, SD?? d:->))

I watched several episodes the first season, it probably showed the period
living conditions as accurate as anything I've seen, then it got pretty
stale.. They seem to love the C-S word combination even more than the F.. A
little bit of reality dialogue in an adult feature is one thing, but they
ram it straight into the ground!!

They actually used the 'F' word in the days of Deadwood? How old is that
word anyway? Master and Commander is one of my favourite films of all time
and I think I would watch it over anything if it were on. Never heard the
'F' word in that movie. Seems times are not a changin' as fast as I thought

beware of disinformation.. CT literature has it that.. the potato
famine was a deliberate imperialist bio {gen-word} operation.

If it is in poor taste then blame the (now retired) senior Aer Lingus pilot
who told me the joke!!

Oh, it's very ancient!

It's not quite as old as "frelling," which is how it is pronounced in the
galaxy Farscape takes place, or "fracking," which is how it is pronounced
in the Colonies of Kobol... 😉

Apparently, they do, as it is now HBO's most watched series. Director
David Milch supposedly researched the language of the time and it is as
authentic as can be. It's raunchy and rough, no doubt, but if you can
get past it, it's actually a great series.
