Air for frontal fan Deepcool Wave V2

Hi there.
That model have place for frontal fan 120mm. But where does that fan will take air? Will it be effective?

The front bezel of the case stands off of the frame about 3/4" and has slots in the bottom of it to let air in.
It is not as effective as an open front with a straight path for air to flow but the solid front looks better to some people.
