Airflow Question for PC

Just out of curiousity, I'm wondering if a PC would have better or worse airflow laying on its side. My computer lays on the side as I do not have a CD player and I was wondering if it would have any effect on the cooling whatsoever. I know that heat rises so I would wonder if the cool air coming up through the bottom and heat expelling through the top would make that much of a difference rather than the air coming in from the front panel and expelling from the port side on its side.

Doesn't really matter I just thought it would be a fun discussion.

That's a great question! Putting your PC on it's side may have no affect on the performance, however unless the case manufacturer specifically says it is fine to lay on it's side I would not. I don't know for sure, but having the PC on it's side my affect the performance of certain components or even cause them to malfunction.

It's fine with my PC, I just ponder how it affects airflow.
