Just picked up an AIW9700 pro and am having a problem getting tv
output in stereo. I've got the output from the card connected to the
line-in on a SBlive card. When I select tv channels they indicate that
they are in stereo but I am only getting sound out the left speaker. I
have searched everywhere for a setting that may be misconfigured but
no luck. Suggestions?

Thanks

Under the assumption that your sound works fine on other program material,
check your TV card to sound card connection. It sounds like the wire is not
plugged in all the way on one end or the other.

that would be my guess also check the wire to make shure its all the way in.
on both the tv card and on the sound card. you shuld feel 2 clicks while its
going in.
also test the speaker to make shur its not the problem you may have banged
some wires around while installing the tv card/aiw. i did this a while back
when i fineshed putting a new tv card in it worked fine till i slide the
computer back under the desk and it was pulling the speaker wire to the side
and lost right channel till i slid it back out. and saw the wire tangeled up
and getting puled.

Well am I embarrassed. Sometimes it takes somebody to wave something
right in front of my face. In fact, the connection on the video card
was not quite fully seated. I had checked and rechecked the connection
on the sound card but I have so many wires on the back of my machine
that I did not fully insert the plug on the video card. Working fine
now.
Thanks Robert and mangyrat!!
