Akamai net session interface

Hello,
i found it installed on my computer ..aand i did not download it also when i check my comp security in CMD i found established by a specefic PID then when i check it in task manager i found it akamai net session interface.. is it a kind of hack?

Akamai Net Session is a game client downloader used with about 40% of all MMO games this is no longer needed when you finish downloading the client and can be safely uninstalled via program manager or have the service disabled internally via Control Panel / Admin tools/ Services / Akamai Net Session and right click and open properties select start up manual so it won't be used unless a program requests it if you think you might be wanting to download another game any time soon.

Thnx a lot.... i was just surprised to find it on my laptop without downloading it...
Also i found Microsoft SQL Server Compact-Microsoft Sliver Light-Microsoft Capicom on my laptop from 2 monthes while i did not dowlaod them... i do not know how sth is established without dounloading...so worry of being hacked
