Akasa Venom(2011) with AMD FX-8350

I was thinking about upgrading my computer with a new motherboard(ASUS M5A97 R2.0) and cpu(FX-8350), and I was just wondering if my Akasa Venom cpu cooler from 2011 will still fit and be sufficient with the new setup?

The Akasa Venom should work well as long as you have the AM3 mounting hardware. Good luck!
