[SOLVED] Alarm for overheating hdd

hello, so i am currently making a personal cloud using the raspberry pi 4 and 2 hdd with the HUR5-SU3 Probox enclosurw, and i am wondering, are there any apps in raspbian that can alarm me when my hdd is overheating? Thanks in advance!

There are many temperature sensors that you could connect to the I/O pins of the RPi. Here's one from Adafruit.

Are there any from the software side, since no-one in my country is selling it, and the delivery... lets just say it's expensive.

There might be some tricky software things that could be done, but I wouldn't have a clue about them.

Check on AliExpress for sensors. Might be able to get one for under USD$10 delivered. but it will take a 4-6 weeks.

This is USB enclosure for two hard drives. So, you have to find out:

• whether SMART data from hard drives provided for temperature readings;
• how to read SMART data from Raspian
• build an "Alarm" app.
