Alfa awus036nh optimizing in win 7

Is there any way to actually optimize my throughput on both tx and rx within win 7 64 bit for the AWUS036NH from Alfa. I've got signal out of the whazoo, but hardly any Tx or Rx capability.

see if there is a newer firmware or driver from the manufacturer. you could also try changing the wireless channel the router broadcasts on.

I'm currently using the newest driver and firmware RaLink has available (eff. 04/2012), and Changing Channels doesn't do anything.
