Hi, I just bought an AW15 with i7 4120, 128gb ssd, 1tb hdd, 1080p screen, 980m gpu and am having an issue where the computer "drops" recognition of the HDD. I've ran disk management and it doesn't find it, the BIOS does, which I just updated to the A06 version. I also ran the diagnostics test via F12 but I can get the system to recognize the HDD. This problem happen the same day I bought the laptop and I uninstalled the latest Nvidia driver and the HDD came back. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the community, Kdsmith10000!

I'd recommend you to check the SATA connections to the HDD, maybe something got loose and that's why the system is unable to recognize it properly. If you have access to another computer, I'd also suggest you to plug the drive there and see if it gets recognized properly.
You should also check if you have the latest SATA/chipset drivers for your computer from their official website or the drivers pack CD.
Since it's a new AW15, you could RMA it and get a replacement from their customer support in case there are defects either with the SATA connector or the HDD that came with the laptop.

Hope this helps, though. :)
