Alienware 17 r3 charger issue?

hi i got my new alienware r3 and it came with a 180 w charger adapter. i got the 970 m. is this the right charger for the pc or should i complain?

and the secound question. My led light on the charger is not showing any led light anymore. what could this be`? it is just black all the time, i think it should show some blue light?

Hey Alex,

Yes, that is the correct power supply for your particular R3. The 970M versions come with the smaller power adapter (180w) while the 980M's come with a bigger charger (230w).

Also, you are correct, alienware did away with the LED light on the cord- mine is missing as well (2016 Skylake 17 R3).
