So I have an Alienware 18 that broke down a while back, got it fixed out of state, the issue was a shorted GPU, but luckily when it was disassembled, the repairman was able to swap the secondary GPU in to the primary slot, and just ditch the old shorted primary. Now it actually works, however there's still the issue of it not lasting long when I'm playing games. It will run for about 15-20 minutes before giving me a backlit black screen. Called the repairman who said it was likely an issue with the computer trying to push extra load over to the (now-nonexistant) secondary GPU for efficiencies sake I guess and it just gives me a black screen. I'd prefer any solutions I can do on the software end since it takes quite a pretty penny to pay someone to break this boy down and I'd prefer to not if I don't have to. Thanks in advance.
