Question Alienware Alpha 2 console replacement advice needed

I need a hardware SME to tell me if a mini pc would be a good replacement for a 2016 Alienware Alpha 2 console. I use it for a home theater device streaming videos from my synology, surfing the web and playing steams games that do not require high end hardware. It just seems to be getting sluggish and I'm considering a mini pc as a replacement but don't know how they compare when it comes to gaming.

Alienware Alpha 2 specs

• CPU: Intel Core i7 6700T(2.2GHz, four threads)
• GPU: Nvidia GTX 960 4GB
• RAM: 8GB DDR4 (SODIMM format)
• Storage: 500GB 7200rpm Hard Drive

Would something like this be a great upgrade?

or would it require a much higher investment which I do not want to pay right now.

I should think the first one should suffice. Might not be a bad idea to dig into the spec of that 12th gen to see exactly which one it is as well as to see thee UHD version and check its capabilities/resolution.
