Alienware Alpha CPU Upgrade

Could I use an i7 in an Alienware alpha? I just want something better than my current i5 that it has so I can upgrade the gpu and not have the cpu holding it back. What is the best i7 I could run in the Alienware alpha?

What is the MB?

As far as I know....Alienware has used brand name MBs.
I have an Area 51 with an ASUS P6T in it.
