Alienware Alpha or Alienware Steam Machine, For Business Traveller

I am a person who travels a lot for business, with a crummy business laptop. I need a small console-like rig that could fit easily in my carry-on luggage, that I can play games on while I'm traveling (mostly Steam purchased games). I would need to be able to download the games from Steam onto it before I leave, then be able to play them while traveling without requiring an internet connection, since hotel internet cannot always be reliable. Due to the small size (roughly 7" x 7" x 2.5"), I've been eyeballing the Alienware Alpha or Alienware Steam Machine.

Which would be better for my situation and requirements? Please and thanks!

Ok, so I spoke with someone at Dell specifically about these, and I think I would be leaning towards the Alpha if it ever goes on sale. The Alpha runs Win10 and has desktop or console mode, so you can play any Steam games, or any games in general, rather than just what's available through the SteamOS. It seems like a much more versatile rig for what I'm looking for. Now we play the sale waiting game, ha ha.
