Alienware Auora R3 System Won't Boot

I got a Alienware Aurora R3 system and put a i5-3570k and it wouldn't boot with my viper 8gb 1.5v 1600mhz ddr3 ram. I'm wondering if my ram is defective or if my processor is not compatible with my system.

Did you update the BIOS before installing the processor?

Yeah, it has the latest updated BIOS. The computer still wouldn't start.. I returned the i5 3570k and I'm going to try the i5 2500k that is on its way. I know for a fact the 2500k is compatible. The system gives a 2 beep code which comes up as memory issues but the memory was brand new... I was thinking it would be the processor thats causing the memory to act up.
