Hello everyone,
Before i start, i will explain my whole problem, if you dont feel like reading the whole thing, jump to the TL;DR part :)

So after battling my Aurora R4 overheating issues, who suddenly manifested, i tried to take this issue in my own hands. First i tried replacing the thermal paste, just to have it as a temporal solution.
Next i decided to replace the heatsink, and in this process, i managed to bend the pins on the CPU socket beyond repair. I was a little optimistic and tried to repair the motherboard myself, but my computer would only give me a black screen boot.

TL;DR,
I need a new motherboard that is going to replace the one in my computer.
As far as i know, my motherboard is an mATX x79 LGA 2011 (My cpu still works, so I'm hoping to get a motherboard where it will fit.

I have gotten a taste for the Asus Rampage IV Gen, is this a good motherboard? It was also very charming due to the price (300$ compared to the 700$ for a Dell one)

So, will it be worth it to replace the motherboard?

Solution

It should be worth it since your cpu is still working.the motherboard u are getting are decent for it price tag.
