So I've been doing a fair bit of research on 120hz monitors primarily for gaming. I have no real interest in 3d and I am purely interested in finding the best 22-24" monitor that has the lowest input lag, response time and is capable of 120hz with a good picture quality.

It appears that the LG is the quickest monitor for gaming however it is beaten in picture quality by the Alienware. The question on my mind is how much picture quality would I be giving up when buying the LG when compared to the Alienware and how noticeable is the input lag on the Alienware as opposed to the next to 0 input lag the LG provides.
