Alienware AW3418DW/Nintendo Switch question

I have a Dell Alienware AW3418DW ultrawide, I use it for gaming but I also use it to play my Nintendo switch on. Is there anyway get the image on my Nintendo switch to occupy the entire screen rather than just the middle and have black bars on both sides? thanks in advanced

you are trying to use a HD console on a 4K display. the only way you can do that is if the display controls on the monitor have an option to stretch or zoom the image on it

its not a 4k display its a WQHD if it has the ability to stretch I don't know where to find it
