I work from home so I'm in Office and Google apps at least 8 to 10 hours per day. I currently have a G7 Odyssey (27", 2560 x 1440), which has been pretty darned good. Increasingly, I would love more screen space and have been looking at 3440 x 1440 options as running my work laptop to two monitors isn't really feasible. My gaming consists mostly of RPGs, e.g., Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3.
The Alienware AW3423DW looks fantastic and is currently at $899 on MicroCenter, but I am extremely nervous about OLED burn in, since I've never purchased a monitor that expensive. Are there good multi-use 34" alternatives? I've also been looking at the ROG Strix XG349C ($799 at MicroCenter), which is a couple of years old but seems to get pretty solid reviews. It's IPS, so it won't be as good as the AW3423DW, but not having to worry about burn in is a huge benefit.
