I am curious to know that whether I can use Gpu amplifier on desktop or not, my friend have an alienware laptop with amplifier ( gtx 970 ).

I want to test it on my pc I have DB75EN mobo and i5 processor, will it work or creates any problem.

Solution
This wouldn't work because of the way it's designed to work. Laptops usually have limited PCI Express lanes, so an internal powerful GPU wouldn't be able to run at it's full potential, so you end up with a stripped-down "M" version.
The Amplifier works by allowing a full size graphics card to be used on a daughterboard that will allow it to use full PCIe 3.0 x16 speed.
For a desktop, all you would need to do is plug the GPU into the existing PCIe slot.
Also, it only lists Alienware laptops under compatibility.
