Alienware m15 vs New m15

I got the old m15 as a Christmas gift as soon as it came out and now the old m15 has changed a bit, with new Intel core and only a 16 GB memory option or more. My sister wants an Alienware m15 now. I wanted to know if the New m15 is mostly the same as the m15. (Note: I got my laptop at the default customizations and I will do the same for hers)

That's what they are called on the Dell website. The new m15 is called the New m15. They are both m15s.
