alienware replacement battery not charging

so my old battery (1 year old only) only charges to 20% so i bought a new one. When i put it in it says plugged in not charging. the battery is 0 days old so idk why its not working. It says 88% but when i remove the AC adapter it turns off.

*note* I MAY have damaged one of the pins (bent slightly then re straightened) but my old battery still works fine (other than the fact its got no juice left) and new battery doesnt charge

Is this normal for new batteries?

Is it a real battery or some cheap ebay job? Cheap ones don't have the proper security chip inside to tell the laptop that it's a legit battery. Non-legit batteries won't charge a lot of times without hacking the BIOS or things.

i have the same problem too but ur alienware at least charges up to 80% but mine is right now at 0% but still charging which i hate i went to a local computer store and replaced the battery and it still does the same crap. i need solutions. thx
