Alienware X51 R1 Motherboard Usable with Internal PSU/New Case?

Hey guys, so I've been big into gaming and recently managed to get my hands on a killer deal for an HD monitor, keyboard, gaming mouse, speakers, and then an alienware x51. The alienware x51 has an i7 quad core 3770, 1tb hd, gtx 555, 8gb ram, and an m-itx style motherboard.
Recently, I realized that the external psu's 330w power is weak and I want to move into a new case so I can get an internal psu. I chose the cooler master elite 130 for the case and some 600w or 750w psu (haven't decided yet, depends what good of a deal I can get on them). Will the motherboard of the x51 work just fine with the case/psu? I'm not sure what the exact name or brand the motherboard is, so I can't really tell that info, so sorry for that. From multiple google searches and talking to a tech person, it seems like it'd work, but I'd still like as many opinions as I can before I drop money on the case/psu 😛 Thanks for reading!

If this is their slim model, it may be a specific board for the case it was shipped with. If you take a picture of it we could tell you. If its a standard ITX or M ATX board any case or PSU should be fine.

I didn't know there was a slim model of it. The X51 is a pretty small case as it is, so I just assumed it was one size. I have a friend of mine who has a similar situation and he drilled a hole in his case and wires an internal psu into the case onto the motherboard, and I have the same case as he does, so I'm assuming it's a standard MITX board (also what I was told by a tech dude in my city). But I could be wrong. I'll take a picture of it when I get home and get back to you. Thanks for the fast reply!

Hope these two help. First one is definitely an r1, and I assume that the second is an r1 too as the article talks about it with the specs that only an r1 has. R2 doesn't have a similar internal build. Processor and graphics used in this article's x51 belong well in an r1, so I'm bending toward an r1. Thanks again!

I just read somewhere that changing the motherboard on an alienware x51 will require me to get a new operating system. So I sure hope that this motherboard is okay with psu upgrading!
