AliExpress & Ebay "AMD only DDR3 RAM"

I've been looking around for some DDR3 for a build I'm working on. Though while looking, I stumbled across several sellers advertising so called "AMD only" memory. In most cases, their "Intel" memory costs 50% more for what to me seems like the same.

I've heard of older Intel systems not supporting as many memory chips on the modules as AMD, though I didn't think this was the case for DDR3 as well?

If anyone has any experience with "AMD only" memory or have extended knowledge about memory compatibility across platforms, please do let me know. I've been curious about this for a while now.
 
I would take what is being sold on Ebay and Aliexpress(since they both share the same sellers if it's the same rams) with a huge table spoon of salt. I'd stick to branded sticks of ram. You could get by with Kingston HyperX rams that are in the Fury range but that anything outside of that would be sketchy.
