Anyone notice that almost every website that sells hardware is out of stock of the 7900 GT and GTX all the differnet brands etc. i find this strange. did nvidia flood the market with there video card and its being pulled off the shelf or is it in such high demand?

No, their first shipment wasnt as large as it should have been.
Plus most OEM's are trying to clean out their 6800/7800 series
before moving on to the 7900.

I'm sure nVida had an initial supply so they would have a "hard launch" and not get blasted for all the famous paper launches that are so typical.

But now their supply is gone and the market is dry. I'm also sure manufacturers are busy making more but it takes time and we'll probably be without for a couple more months.

I was "hoping" for a nice continued supply so the price would drop some and we'd see some good game bundles. But alas, we probably will not see that till mid-summer at this rate. And by that time people will be talking about G80 around the corner.

A vicious, never-ending cycle. But I've made up my mind to get a OC'd 7900GT when I see a good one. But I'll wait for the one I hae my eye on. After all it's summer time and we should be outside doing stuff...gaming can wait. Not going to get laid playing video games folks.

Newegg FINALLY got some in...but who knows how long this shipment will last. I have another two weeks before I can afford mine, and with my luck they'll be out again by that point.

Anyway, get 'em while the gettings good.

I didnt have a problem =) I have 3!

They were better deals when the eVGA 500/1500 was only 299$. Now since the price has inflated on them, and their rare as 10th sunday in june... I've decided that I'd wrather have a 512MB X1800XT

There is occasionally a 1900XT variant at right at $400 that is also a temptin price/performance point...

How much are the 1800XT's these days? (They should be at $300 by now, if priced accurately compared to 1900XT's)

Are you a one-man computer building shop??

Sell them on E-Bay at $360-$399 each! 🙂

(There are bound to be enough buffoons on E-Bay willing to spend 1900XT-like money on a 7900GT to make it a profitable venture!)

even with the ski high hardware prices here in scandinavia i still got mine at a reasonable price and overclocked it straight away. Good graphics all running at full but i must say, that my system hangs sometimes for some seconds when playing World of warcraft which it never did before with my trusty overclocked 6600 (@400/630).

Wonder why??

Wahhh!!!

Newegg had the eVGA 7900GT cards in stock for a couple of hours this morning and I was going to order one along with a bunch of other parts for a system upgrade. Before I could order, they were out of stock, again!!

Wahh!!!
