So wassup guys my name's sid but im known as sidfrgaming here
Im gonna tell u all about graphics card in this tutorial

1)What is a Graphics Card ?
-> Well most people have their own answers to be precise ,but i think it is just an addition to ur PC for acclerating, upscaling and processing video and graphical content. We can cosider it as an expansion card to ease the computing load on the cpu when dealing with graphical data

2)Where does it fit in a PC ?
-> Well there is a specially dedicated slot for this .
In early times a slot called AGP (accelerated graphics port) was used It had a 1.5 v output. Soon it got upgraded to 3.3v .Then came the universal AGP slot and finally the AGP pro. After that it evolved to the PCIe(peripheral component interconnect express). It too had various upgrades from PCIe x4 to x16 and PCIe gen 1 to gen 3(latest)
Unlike AGP,PCIe offers serial data transfer rate

3) What types of graphics card are available?
-> There are mainly two types Work Station graphics card(used in servers and heavy computing) and Gaming graphics card(used in gaming)
For starters there are many types available (actually thousands of choices)
For a normal basic rig u dont need any graphics card
A low profile graphics card will be suitable for a HTPC (like gt 210,HD 5450,bla,bla,bla)
If u are interested in some gaming then u need a good graphics card (gtx 650,r7 260x)
If ur crazy for gaming then some high end graphics card will do for u(gtx 970,r9 290)
If ur nuts ,insane,crazy,etc.....for gaming and rich ull need some beasts(gtx 980ti,gtx titan x,r9 390x,r9 fury x)
Now here is the real deal ........
If u are willing to die for gaming and filthy rich (my name falls here but im not rich:( ) then try the big dadys of gaming graphics card.......
*Asus mars gtx 760 dual(the name suggests two gtx 760s on a single pcb !)
*Asus rog ares III (two r9 290s + 1pcb + 8gigs of gddr5 memory =one hell of a graphics card. And the twist, all of this fits into a single slot!!!!!!!)
*PowerColor Devil 13(what do u think ..........
This bad boy has 2 r9 390s under the hood with 16 gigs gddr5 vram and occupies 3 slots and has 4x8pin power supply !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try to crossfire that will ya?ull fry ur power supply .heeeee heeeeeee heeee)
The above mentioned products are not easily available
Ok enough fun now lets see whats inside a graphics card

In a graphics card ther is the GPU,
Graphics memory, ROPs,TMUs,Stream processors

The GPU is the core which runs at a certain clock frequency and accesses the graphics memory which also runs at a certain frequeny
The ROPs,TMUs are inside the core
ROP means raster operation unit which gives the final touch to data before it is sent to the display
TMU means texture mapping units which correctly orient texture units

Stream processors are the arithmetic logical units of the GPU which perform shading instructions
onto the next soldier ATTENTION!

BOTTLENECKING
-> In toms hardware this is a very common term
It means that one part of the PC is causing a decrease in performance of the whole system
This kind of issue is mostly seen in graphics card

now the final question
WHICH ONE WILL U BUY "AMD OR nVIDIA"
-> the ans to this totally depends upon u
I'll just tell a few things
AMD has the best bang for buck factor
nVidia is all about power efficiency
AMD cards with same architecture can be crossfired
nVidia has a good driver support

CONCLUSION
-> whatever card u buy just make sure that
*it doesn't bottleneck
*ur psu output is sufficient
*ur tower has enough space
*if u are in for sli or crossfire make sure there is enough space between two of them
*only buy after deciding which resolution u want to play
*always research before buying

AND ONE LAST THING
"NO MATTER HOW MUCH U SPEND TO BUILD A PC,IT CAN'T BE FUTURE PROOF BECAUSE,AT SOME POINT IT WILL BECOME OBSOLETE ,TECHNOLOGY ALWAYS EVOLVES"

Warm wishes to all those crazy gamers out their and those who have read this :) :)
