Origin gave me an error when trying to install a game, something about not having access to the install directoy. as I investigated the matter, I realized that ALL folders on BOTH drives on my computer was write protected. When I open Properties for a folder and uncheck the write protection box and hit OK, it's still checked the next time I open the properties for that folder. When I go to the Advanced Security Settings for any drive, I see that most access is limited by "Share". I've tried to stop sharing all the folders previously shared, but it makes no difference. PLEASE HELP!

Windows 10 Pro 64- bit
MSI B85M-G43
i5-4670K
GTX 770
WD Black 1TB
Kingston SSDnow 120GB

Solution
I found a solution!

I went to the properties of the drives in question, >Properties>Sharing>Advanced Sharing, and made sure the box "share this folder" was checked. Then >Permissions, and added my own user, and checked the "Full Control" box. I then went on to >Properties>Security>Edit, and added my own user there as well as giving it full control. I did this for all the drives on the computer, and on some folders that didn't inherit the properties.

I hope this thread can help anyone in trouble!
