All Games Bottle Necking No Matter The Settings

Alright so back in October I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 and I've been having issues with it since day one. At first, it would crash every 15 minutes to the windows blue screen of death which I was able to fix by reinstalling windows. After I was able to get the biggest problem out of the way I downloaded some games and gave them a run expecting way better performance than my previous system with a 750Ti. I ran BattleField 4 at first on ultra settings and everything seemed fine. I was getting an average of 90 FPS and on medium settings I was getting well over 150 FPS in multiplayer conquest large. The next time I tried to run it I maxed out at 40 fps and floated right around there very consistently even if I was on ultra settings or the lowest settings. My SSD is very far from being near full so that's not an issue. The CPU also shouldn't be any type of hardware bottlneck. I also recently downloaded Fallout 4 and gave that a shot. It also floated right around 40 FPS whether it was on ultra or low but it would sometimes go up to 60ish at the very most. Garry's Mod also sits around 40 FPS no matter the settings. I had dell support run their diagnostics and they came to the conclusion that there are no issues which I figured would be the case. I sent it back to them and they said they would run "extensive testing" and work out any problems. They didn't find any problems but reinstalled the OS again. So I am back to square one. Dell support is too dumb to help me so hopefully you guys can. I've been stuck with this broken thing for 4 months now and it's starting to really get on my nerves since I spent $800 on it and it can't even run any games. (Also I forgot to mention but all the games were run on 1080p and I might run them at 720p to see if that makes a difference but I wouldn't consider that a permanent fix. I also have tried it unplugged and plugged in as well and have seen no performance difference. The power setting is on best performance.) Thanks guys

I see. After some quick research, it seems like your laptop might be running the Intel HD graphics instead of the Nvidia graphics. How exactly to treat this... I don't really know which method to recommend.

You could completely uninstall the Nvidia drivers (delete everything related), then get the geforce experience and install the latest drivers. Should that not work, Going into Control Panel>Device Manager>Display Adapters>Right-click and disable the Intel HD graphics. If that makes your screen lose picture, then perhaps the video card is not connecting to the motherboard correctly (and Dell needs to actually do something).

Another possible thing is this: Go to the game's .exe file> Right click and go to properties> Compatibility>...

Actually, It runs on a 1050Ti according to the Dell website. Though I suppose the OP knows exactly.

I always have the power setting on the highest performance and have it plugged in but thanks for the tip! Yeah it should be running off of the 1050Ti in there. I went into the Nvidia control panel and set it to always use the 1050Ti so it shouldn't be running strictly off of the I5 and that still wouldn't explain this strange issue.

There's just so many things that could be the issue, I really don't know what to recommend W(@.@)W
