Alright so back in October I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 and I've been having issues with it since day one. At first, it would crash every 15 minutes to the windows blue screen of death which I was able to fix by reinstalling windows. After I was able to get the biggest problem out of the way I downloaded some games and gave them a run expecting way better performance than my previous system with a 750Ti. I ran BattleField 4 at first on ultra settings and everything seemed fine. I was getting an average of 90 FPS and on medium settings I was getting well over 150 FPS in multiplayer conquest large. The next time I tried to run it I maxed out at 40 fps and floated right around there very consistently even if I was on ultra settings or the lowest settings. My SSD is very far from being near full so that's not an issue. The CPU also shouldn't be any type of hardware bottlneck. I also recently downloaded Fallout 4 and gave that a shot. It also floated right around 40 FPS whether it was on ultra or low but it would sometimes go up to 60ish at the very most. Garry's Mod also sits around 40 FPS no matter the settings. I had dell support run their diagnostics and they came to the conclusion that there are no issues which I figured would be the case. I sent it back to them and they said they would run "extensive testing" and work out any problems. They didn't find any problems but reinstalled the OS again. So I am back to square one. Dell support is too dumb to help me so hopefully you guys can. I've been stuck with this broken thing for 4 months now and it's starting to really get on my nerves since I spent $800 on it and it can't even run any games. (Also I forgot to mention but all the games were run on 1080p and I might run them at 720p to see if that makes a difference but I wouldn't consider that a permanent fix. I also have tried it unplugged and plugged in as well and have seen no performance difference. The power setting is on best performance.) Thanks guys
