All games lagging on a high end pc.

So I built this new pc a week ago now, and so far it has caused me nothing but trouble when it comes to gaming.

Here are my specs:
Intel i7-6700 CPU
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard
Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 ti GPU
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 RAM
SanDisk Ultra II 480GB SSD
Western Digital WD Blue Hard Disk Drive - 2TB
Windows 10 64bit

I keep windows and my necessary programs on my SSD, while Steam + games and other files go on my HDD.

There are 3 main problems with this pc.

1. Any game running with 3D elements run awfully. At the lowest possible settings, Garry's Mod runs at about 15 fps. So not so good there. It's worth of note that I recycled my GPU from my last build, making it years old now (maybe it's just worn out?).
I have also already disabled intel hd graphics, and all of my drivers for my GPU and for Nvidia are up to date.

2. Every time I try to open Nvidia control panel I get the error message " You are not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia display." so I should just plug my monitor into my GPU you say? Well onto my final problem.

3. I get a black screen with the message "No signal through pc" once I plug my monitor into my GPU, it works fine when plugged into my mobo however.


Anyone have any idea what my issue could be?

1x8GB DRAM is in single channel and slowing things a bit, for the GPU look in the BIOS for a Primary video setting and make sure it's set to PCI-E/PEG

Checked the BIOS multiple times now, no sign of any primary video settings, only gpu monitoring.

Thanks for that, I set it to PCI-E and games are running smoother, however they are still running below 25 - 30 fps. I noticed that my CPU and memory usage are through the roof while in game.
Any suggestions?

Your memory is in single channel as you have a single stick, a two set would increase performance of DRAM and may reduce CPU load a bit

I HAVE SEEN GTA V PLAYING 60 FPS WITH INTEL HD GRAPHICS ON YOUTUBE BUT IN MINE GTA V LAGGING TOOOOOO MUCH (LOOKS LIKE 15FPS WITH LOWEST SETTINGS) WITH INTEL HD 630 ( NOT ONLY GTA 5 EVERY GAMES ARE LAGGING FIFA14,NFS MOSTWATED,NFS RIVALS) ALL ARE LOW SETTINGS.

I CANT FIND ANYTHING UNUSUAL EXCEPT SOME TIMES BOOTING TIME TAKES SO LONG OR SOME TIMES FASTER BOOTING,

ANOTHER THING IS WHEN OPENING "MY PC" LOADING TAKES TOO MUCH TIME AFTER EVERY REBOOTS (I DONT SEE IN OTHER MY FRIENDS PC RUNNING CORE I3.)

I SEE AN INTEL RAPID STORAGE TECHNOLOGY ON MY PC I DONT KNOW WHATS THAT.

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH RUNNING GAMES WITH GRAPHICS CARD (I HAVE GT 730 1GB DDR5 CHEAP CARD , AND GET 60 FPS ON GTA 5, GRAPHICS CARD DEAD DUE TO WRONG FLASH BIOS)


PLEASE HELP ANY ONE HAVE A SOLUTION TO FIX THIS.....
