All icons changed to vlc

even the my cmputer option also has changd into vlc....wana get it back to normal....wat to du???

when you double-click the file or shortcut icon......does it function normally or does this "vlc program" try to open it?

if so then either you (or a program you installed) changed the default program that the file opens with. i know of a virus that could change this function (although the one i've seen changed it to a "null value" instead of a different program)

i'm not 100% sure this will work but doing a system restore to your last working session of windows might solve the problem. if it doesn't you might have to manually re-link the file types with the programs to open them. doing a virus scan (with a decent and updated antivirus) is also recommended.

Dont be surprise that it's for Vista, but it also applies to Window 7.
