all icons on my computer have changed to vlc media

all my icons have changed to vlc media, i collected a file and it wouldnt open on my computer, so i tried opening it using vlc and it automatically changed all my icons and made my computer extremely slow, its even shutsdown on its own. i cant even use my browser because its in the vlc format. PLEASE HELP!

Only one way!

Use "Your Uninstaller" software and remove VLC completely.

There are better players out there, one is USM and its free.

Use the super mode and remove everything.

Problem solved.

Problem solved.

Once you change the association application, the only solution is to restore the default, uninstall vlc is not going to that issue.
