Hello,

I’ve been toying with the idea of an all-in-one for some time now. I’m currently looking into the Dell 27 7000.

Configuration:

AMD Ryzen™ 5 1400 Processor
Windows 10 Home 64bit English
8GB, DDR4, 2400MHz
1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s
AMD Radeon™ RX 580 with 8GB GDDR5

I’d like a substantial upgrade from my current system. I also want to run newer games at 1080p on high settings with good frame rates.

Will this system handle that? Also, any general advice or suggestions about this computer or Dell are greatly appreciated.

Current build:

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB
MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760
Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.1GHz

I see, that's a little bit better. Try to find out if the motherboard is a B350, if its the A320 then I would pass as Ryzen really shines with overclocking although you may not get much of a overclock with a SFF (Small Form Factor) build.
Can you post the exact specs? All I see is customization options.

Is it the version that has a 4K screen, Ryzen 1400, 8gb RAM & a 580 8gb for $1400?

You could build something a bit better for the price, I would go with this and reuse your current GPU for now as prices are way too high, then sell the 760 and upgrade when pricing has normalized.

With the money saved you can buy a better monitor such as a 1440P or ultra wide and pair it with a 580/1060 (or better) when prices are better.

as long as the dell is overclockable w/c i doubt, a stock ryzen 5 1400 is comparable to your current sandybridge rig, w/o oc it doesnt really shine, check this dell gtx 1070 deal the whole pc at the price ofa current gtx 1070 less than 1 thousand bucks us!!! - http://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/desktop-computers-all-in-one-pcs/new-xps-tower/spd/xps-8930-desktop/dxcwvmax001h?selectionState=eyJGUHJpY2UiOjk3OS45OSwiT0MiOiJkeGN3dm1heDAwMWgiLCJRdHkiOjEsIk1vZHMiOlt7IklkIjo2LCJPcHRzIjpbeyJJZCI6IkdUMTA3MCIsIlByaWNlIjo0NDEuMH1dfV19 better than the rx 580 in the other dell aio you mentioned

I appreciate the advice. Part of the appeal of this system was the all-in-one factor. I don’t do any 4K gaming or anything super intense.

I was hoping the Dell would be good enough to accomplish what I asked?

If not, I’ll certainly look into the desktops.

I think the 4K display is only included on the 2 upper tiers. I was looking at the 1249.00 configuration.
