All Linux distros that I am running aren’t able to detect my WiFi card and enable it to use wife

I recently installed some Linux distorts to screw around with (Linux Mint and Ubuntu) and for some reason it doesn’t work even though it’s detected by Linux. The WiFi card is an intel corporation device 2526 (rev 29). The only thing that works is if I connect it to Ethernet but I still can’t connect to my WiFi wirelessly. Thanks in advance!

From the quick Googling I did, you need kernel 4.13 or newer, and have to manually install a backport driver to get this WiFi card to work.

Look at this post on Linux mint forum. The reason it does not work is taht driver is not built into the kernel ubuntu or mint uses on installation. The link show you to install the driver. Once you do that do not update the kernel it will break the driver.
