Hello guys,
I need your help!
2 days ago I add some new terminal paste.
So after the CPU and the heatsink cleaning with alcohol and immediately the new CPU paste placed,
I started my computer.
I expect the temperatures would be different but nothing changed.
So I thought, let's play a game. PAYDAY The Heist. So I sit in game, and the entire game froze and the sound stuttered. So I stopped playing.
So I went to play another game, FIFA Online 3. That game went on the menu great like payday but in game 30 seconds after that I started a match, the game also froze and the sound stuttered terribly. I play through and a few seconds later it happened again.
In all te games I played it's gonna lagg.
In payday, Fifa online, tribes: Ascend, Hazard Ops, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. All games are lagging.
Before the new terminal paste applied froze all my games never.
What could be the problem guys.

Before I changed the terminal paste my CPU hit in games 65 degrees in game, and now the same.

All Games I have tried to run on low but nothing helps. all these games I play on average medium.
My specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512MB
Motherboard: Asus M2N68-AM PLUS
4 GB RAM
1 TB Harddrive HDD

Did you remove anything else like the graphics card perhaps? If the memory bus is not on correctly or is dirty this can be a an issue. Also, how much thermal paste did you use, because very little is needed.

Have you checked your gpu temps? I had a 9800 GT back in the day that did the same thing to me. would get super hot a throttle its self back. Replaced that and bam everything was smooth.

I do not have my graphics card is not removed.
And the ram is a little dirty! I'll take care of that.
And I did not really placed a lot terminal paste on it.

I recommend isopropanol to clean memory buses if you have it.

ok these is what you need to known

-to change termal paste you need to clean both surface with an abrasive solution or abrasive paper
-then ypu need to remove the dirt form both surface (alcohol is not recommend because its cristalization not help with the contact of the surfaces)
-now you can apply the thermal paste (thermaltake its the most recommended for its balance price/quality)
only you need to aaply an dot like a lentil over the surface of the gpu in the middle of it. you dont need to worry about the dispertion of it because the contact of both surface will do the job.
-and then proceed to put the cleaned surface of the dissipator and put the screws in its holes and screw in star chape (oposite side time by time) to ensure that the presion over all the screws is the same and test
- let me know how it was
-to test your temps download the msi afterburner and set the vents to 100 percent to test your temps

regards

ps: sorry for my english

Clean the CPU with abrasive paper? What I've never heard anyone suggest this before you don't NOT need to go that far a lint free cloth and some alcohol is all you need

you need to use some of this paper in order to removes me most of the dirt and to ensures the correct contact of the parts remmember that the gpus and the paste and the dissipators need to be contacting and the less dirt in the way the less lost of disipament and off course the more effectiviness of the cooling process

ps: the abrasive paper you need its going to be one of the more little grain in the market wich is the n°120 to used you are goin to need some water. (if you are good with spanish i can make you a detailed tutorial in order to make good use of you cooling sistems) and again sorry for my english

hope you understand
