All my games have gone too dark in darker scenes after I got a new 1050 2GB

I've messed with both the monitor's settings and the nvidia settings and brightness is full on both.
In darker scenes or scenarios in any game it's almost impossible to see clearly, especially if the scenery isn't illuminated. In Metro Laslt Light for example I can't see anything inside a dark tunnel whereas I was perfectly able to do so with my old card.

I've installed the latest drivers for this card and yet I can't see in darker scenes in games, why is it?

My specs:

FX6300
8GB DDR3 Ram
GTX 1050 2GB

Solution
I suggest you try the following:

1. set MONITOR to factory defaults (usually such a setting on the monitor itself)

2. run DDU to remove NVidia drivers http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

3. reinstall NVidia drivers.

I can't think of a good reason for a GPU to physically cause low brightness. It sounds like a setting to me.

OTHER:
Try to find another monitor or HDTV to test as well to see if it's an issue with the monitor. Doesn't seem likely, but best to be thorough if stuck.

Solution

I've seem to have found a temporary solution for this, I'm using the in-game's brightness/gamma setting in order to get them brighter. It's not a definitive and ideal solution, but it solves the problem.

PS: My monitor(LG) is an LCD which only has a VGA in so I had to buy an hdmi to VGA converter and I'm almost positive that that's causing the dark games problem.

hdmi to vga convertors pretty much give issues everytime. Get a displayport to vga convertor those do work fine.
