All my games have started crashing

Hello,

Seemingly overnight, my games appear to have started crashing. A few days ago I installed a new CPU, and for a day or two after doing that everything seemed to be running OK - but now after one freeze in Battlefield 4 where the game got stuck and I couldn't ctrl+alt+del out, alt tab or anything, everything appears to have gone into the toilet. Every single game I tested has started crashing mere minutes in. Metro Last Light appears to have lost all audio briefly before it too crashed. Skyrim simply crashes to desktop every minute without any error message or anything, like all the others.

I can't quite figure out what is going on. Is it the CPU? Like I said, for a day or two after I installed it the issue wasn't there. I appeared to be doing fine. But now I have no idea what to do anymore. Could it be the power supply? Defective RAM? Is something dying?

I've just recently started getting blue screens now too. I couldn't read it all, but it was some sort of hardware error.

My specs:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX 9370 8-core (4.4 GHz)
GPU: GTX 780 4 GB
Storage: 238 GB SSD, 2 TB HDD
RAM: 24 GB DDR3
Power supply is 750 watts

I've considered that. I've had suspicions about my PSU lately - my fans have been working way harder than usual for the past month or two, and there's a strange buzzing/chirping coming from the general area of the PSU after about 30 minutes of the computer being on.

I just have suspicions that it might have something to do with my recently installed processor, as it never happened before. It has a significantly greater draw than my old one, so is it possible that installing this one just dealt a 'kill blow' to an already dying power supply?
