All ports are closed/blocked - Connection timed out on testing

Hi guys,

Recently i couldn't play online any more and checked ports at canyouseeme.org and all ports are closed

I tried a vpn service and it only opens port 443 and i played online normally.

The point is i can't open port 443 or any other port despite i allowed the ports through my router and the windows firewall and it still shows port 443 closed : connection timed out


Is there any way to open it ?

Are you having problems with any other websites?

Are any other computers on your network having "timed out" problems?

What online game sites are you playing at?

Does your router have logs? If so the logs may be helpful if present and enabled.

Any port checker website gives the same result

There is only my pc connected directly to the router

The game is GTA V

My router is TP-Link 8951 and I see system log only.

Do you have the User Guide for your router?

(Do verify that I found the correct User Guide.)

Try assigning your PC a static IP address outside of the DHCP IP address range allowed to the router.

And within the router reserve that static IP address for your PC via the PC's MAC

Then restablish the 443 port forwarding within the router.

Information about the logs starts on User Guide Page 16. (Versus the .pdf page numbes...)

I don't know what is the DHCP IP address range allowed to the router

I already assigned my pc to static ip address 192.168.1.2

My isp provides a PPPoA/PPPoE connection with dynamic ip address

Check your devices - do you have anything set with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255?

Would normally expect 255.255.255.0

(I usually limit the value to the number of network devices within my network plus 4 more to allow guests.)

My pc uses 255.255.255.0 in the static ip address configuration

I couldn't assign an ip address outside the allowed range "Error 258 is not a valid entry. Please specify a value between 0 and 255"

The port is open but the online gaming problem still exists !

Any firewalls?

Look at the router's settings with regards to Port 443.

Use the same settings (other than the port number) for the other ports you wish to forward.

Refer to the User Guide to ensure you do indeed set things up correctly.

Do only one port at time and be sure to check the game site requirements.

The game requires ports :

TCP Ports: 80, 443
UDP Ports: 6672, 61455, 61457, 61456, and 61458

I allowed the ports through the windows firewall and through the NAT configuration in the router and disabled the router firewall

The port 443 was already allowed a couple days ago and I didn't change any thing , it's just opened

I think my ISP blocked VOIP and online gaming .

Are you someplace where the the ports might be being blocked by someone else?

Anyway I am running out of ideas...

I tried the troubleshooting tips in the rockstar article but no success

The only one that can block the ports is my ISP and recently they announced that the VOIP and online gaming are blocked and a lot of players in my country can't play online without a vpn service !


Is there any solution to bypass the ISP restrictions ?

UPDATE : the static ip address is the reason the port 443 is open

Please be aware that forum rules prevent any any assistance with circumventing security, hacking, or other similar attempts to bypass imposed restrictions.

Not much else to be done about it unless you find another less restrictive ISP or get your own vpn service.
