So basically I've been trying to upgrade my PC (CPU, Mobo and RAM) and I've been having problems with getting it to even work.

So I reinstall my old components just to boot into Windows and try installing some drivers etc, whatever, I've got it all working and booted up, but pretty much all of my programs have been deleted.

But the folders for the programs are still there in C:\Program Files, just no .exe, .dll files etc

So I've lost all my installed programs, but their installation folders and other useless files are still there.

I don't have system backup on so I'm kinda stuck as to what to do

Solution
Your programs are still there, the 1st thing you should do is relocate em, 1st you should change the user that has control over the files, then move the programs where you want em to be and use an installation disk for those programs, it should install(partially since most files are there already) the installation will just make the programs usable again, i wont go as deep as to explain that but after doing this you should be able to have all your programs usable again also remeber that when you are installing get the installing directory to were you have the program you want to recover
