ASUS has announced theirs:

And not a single 2 slot design in sight... why is the mini ITX crowd abandoned and left again as usual. I hate how the 4070ti is now my only remaining option, hope I'm wrong

Weren't MSI slow with the 7900 cards as well? from memory they didn't come out right away. For the 7900 cards I had a spreadsheet of all the models, I haven't done that for the others... mainly as I wasn't buying one.

I was just trying to help :)

Yeah... Im in the same boat. Crossing fingers for Sapphire Pulse, but the wattage speaks against slim coolers. Btw, are you useing the same nick at LTT?
Ummm... yes, you're both correct, and both companies are listed in the article. Should we also link to Gigabyte, Sapphire, etc.? The only major brand that hasn't shown any 7800/7700 XT cards so far is MSI. Curious, that.
I hope Sapphire releases all their info soon. I had high hopes for the 7700/7800 xt, and its probably going to be quite fine cards. But not an option for me I fear.

Edit: The Sapphire cards are out. Too thick for my case. Sigh....

Same old venomtail. Seems like what I feared the most is happening, AIB's using same old cooler designs from hotter models to save on costs. Seems like non will fit either.

Only really chance for 4 more models. Can't tell how thick the Sapphire pure will be, VASTARMOR and Biostar seem like they're small enough but maybe they'll be short stubby bois. Looking at more pictures the reference 7800XT might be something closer to a 2.2 slot thickness which might fit within a milimeter of spare room for airflow. We'll see. These next 2 weeks will be pure anxiety.

I don't think wattage is the problem itself as there were plenty of 3070TI's-3090 and 4070TI's that have a higher power rating than a 7800XT yet were 2 slot designs.

Right now I blame cheapskates and cost cutting. Why R&D a new cooler approproate for the card when you can just copy paste existing models for which the automated factory lines already exist.

Yeah after seeing the designs I gave up. Ordered the 4070 PNY XLR8, which should fit my old Node 304.
I'm looking forward to be using a mITX case again.
And I've been obsessing over this for 2+ years now, so unless something goes wrong, it will be good with some closure
